Optometrists Matthew McLennan

Matthew was born and raised in Grafton. He completed his Bachelor of Optometry at the University of NSW, graduating in 1990 with first class honours. After working in the area for almost a decade, he joint-opened a business in February 1999, with practices in both Grafton and Maclean. He went on to study ocular therapy in 2003 and received his Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics in 2011, enabling him to prescribe ophthalmic medicines. He has a special interest in ocular disease.

He is a husband and father of two adult children. In his spare time he volunteer’s with Marine Rescue NSW, becoming a member of the Rescue Boat crew in 2013, and a Radio Base Operator in 2014. His other hobbies include scuba diving, cycling and fishing.

Bradley Deece

B.App.Sc. (Optom), B.Hlth.Sc. (Nursing)

Grad. Cert. Ocular Therapeutics

Bradley was born in Sydney and moved to Grafton in 1978 with his family. He took up nursing and worked at the Grafton Base Hospital as a registered nurse.

After almost two decades of nursing, Bradley went back to university to study optometry and completed his bachelor of Applied Science (Optometry) in 2005 at QUT. He joined this practice in 2005 and became a partner soon after in 2006. In 2008 he completed his Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics, enabling him to prescribe ophthalmic medicines.

Bradley is husband to Susan Deece, and father to two daughters Ella and Zoe. In his down time he enjoys gardening, golf and helping coach his daughter’s hockey team.
